Asking Someone Out On The Road

I met my girlfriend while we were both stopped on the traffic light in central London. What made us notice eachother is that we both had the same Alfa Romeo cars. Only the colour was different, mine was white and her’s was blue. We looked and both smiled at each other. At that moment my heart beat 100mph because in young terms I thought “She is hot!”. We both shared few smiles after that and the red light just didn’t turn green.

I was driving with my friends as we were driving to Covent Garden as the weather was outstandingly warm. The summer of 2007 was brilliant and I was planning to make the most of that day because I had a long week at work. It was all planned out, park the car in the hotel nearby and go to few bars havefew drinks and then catch the night bus back to the apartment. I could always go back to the hotel where I parked my car to get the car back but to be honest that didn’t really happen because I took the some courage to talk to her on the traffic light and asked her if she could give me few minutes to talk to her on the next left turning.

I wasn’t expecting her to do so but then after the green light she over took me and turned left I was shocked but I got my chance to talk to her. After few seconds of hi, how are you and I was about to ask her out then all of a sudden she asked “What you upto tonight”?? I couldn’t speak for few seconds then I replied NOTHING at all and my friends were not happy. Then we planned to meet up in the evening after exchanging numbers and spent all evening together and now after 3 years we are finally engaged.

I made my decision to propose to her after 3 years because I felt now is the time as we have a lot of things in common also we love and respect each other. We are competitors in our professional field as we both work for used cars company. If she had told me she worked for one my biggest competitor I would have turned right on the traffic lights, just joking. We are in love with cars and are both big fans of Honda cars. We are planning to settle down and hoping to get married in May 2011.

How An Accident Turned Into Love?

I was parked in one traffic light in Central London when suddenly a car hit my brand new Volvo C30 from behind. After the crash first few seconds was like a blur as I had no clue what was going on and if I was badly injured or not. Then all of a sudden I heard a soft voice apologising to me. I was very angry but as soon as I saw the woman apologising to me my anger just calmed down but I did start feeling horrible pain at the back of my neck. I struggled to move my neck though nothing was broken (thank god).

She was wearing a red dress, looked like a model from Kellogg’s cornflakes. She looks terrified and scared and was about to cry, awwwww. My family always told me new cars normally brings you bad luck and when the accident happened I was thinking the oh dear only if I had listened to my mother. But when she stood next to me in that red dress and looked at me with innocent eyes I just thought to myself how beautiful she is.

As I was struggling to move my neck properly, I was taken to the hospital for a thorough check up in am ambulance and the unexpected thing was she came to visit me in the hospital just few minutes of me reaching there. She has got to be sweet and caring and single right? If she came to see me straight after. Then we spent few hours chatting in the waiting area. Yes waiting in the hospital is not a new thing. We shared few jokes and stories on how she bought her car and now her car is a complete mess after crashing into my car’s back. In the car reviews she read that her car bonnet’s is as powerful as a pick up trust and now she knows the review is not always right. Yes indeed she was single and we exchanged numbers and decided to meet after my next was better.
